Topshop Contour Cream in Swerve

As I said two days ago on my post 'What difference does contouring make?', sculpting your face is a big thing right now.  With big brands releasing cream and powder contouring products-a-plenty, it's great to start seeing similar products coming from a high-street shop brand!  Topshop's Contour Cream really gives other brands a run for their money and makes contouring accessible for everyone...should they want it.

The Contour Cream comes in two shades, Swerve and Sweep.  I went for Swerve, which is actually the darker of the two, because it looks much cooler than Sweep.  I know Sweep would have me looking all orange and strange.  Sweep could be a great cream bronzer but I can't imagine it working for contouring.  It looks scarily dark in the compact but the cream is quite sheer so I can build it up gradually so that it's not too dark on.

The cream melts under your fingertips, it is very smooth and blends out really well.  I have used my fingertips to blend it out to see if it was possible (it was) but I prefer to use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush as it makes the whole process a lot quicker.  Because it is a sheer cream you can make the contouring as subtle or as obvious as you'd like.

If you want to see how it looks in action then check out my previous post here.  You can see the before, how and where I apply it and then how it looks blended out.

You can get the Contour Cream from Topshop for £9.  I think that is a great price considering the cost of some similar products.  Previously on the high-street you could only cream contour with a darker shade of concealer, which can work but they're quite often too warm-toned.

Do you know of any other high street products like this one?  Would you try contouring for this price?
