Melt Love Sick Stack w/ 2 simple looks

If you live on Instagram like I do, you will have seen Melt, they're everywhere.  Two friends and make up fanatics, Dana Bomar and Lora Arellano, set up Melt to make the products they wished they had.  First they released their lipsticks; super matte and super bold.  Then came these game-changers, their eye shadow stacks.  At the moment they only have two; this Love Sick stack and the Dark Matter stack, a more neutral set.  Four massive pans of eye shadows (honestly they're more blush-sized!) that stack together magnetically.  There's nothing quite like these on the market and I'm dreading the deluge of cheap copies that we'll probably see soon.

There are two mattes and two shimmers in the Love Sick stack.
Promiscuous is a beautiful shimmery purple that can lean pink when by itself, but layered over a black brings out the blue shimmer more.  I'm a sucker for a good purple and this is a great one.
Love Sick is a matte burgundy.  A deep, rusty red that looks amazing when smoking out black or to deepen a bronzed look.
Amelie is a peach with gold shimmer, quite similar to Sugarpill Kitten Parade or MAC Melon pigment.
Fixated is a matte grey, very cool-toned.  Great pigmentation and blends well.

Here they are in daylight.

They might seem like quite unusual colours to have in a quad.  I thought I'd show two of simplest looks using them; one warm and one cool.

This first one uses just Love Sick and Amelie.  I used Illamasqua Vintage Metallix in Courtier, a shimmery champagne, as a base for both these looks, hence the all-over sparkle.  I blended Love Sick in to the crease and out, dragging some below my eye as well.  I patted Amelie in to the middle of my lid.  And that was it!  So simple but quite effective.

For this cool-toned look I basically did exactly the same thing but with the other two colours.  I blended Fixated in to the crease and out, dragging it under the eye.  I patted Promiscuous on to my lid and just in the centre underneath too.  I think this look suits my eye colour more, where as the red look would be amazing on brown eyes!  I'd wear both out though, of course.

The Love Sick stack can be bought here for $48.  It is quite expensive for a quad but the size of each colour really is huge and it's an indie brand so you quite often pay a bit more as they're not made in bulk like budget brands.  Three of the four colours are vegan (Love Sick isn't).  The quality on these are amazing, smooth and blendable.  So despite the price I would recommend them!  I haven't tried the Dark Matter stack but I've heard great things about it.

Do you like the look of these shadows?  Had you heard of Melt before?  Have anything by them?  I'd love to know if you're in love with any of their lipsticks.
